Aloha!
I have 8 mixed breed duckling, one just doesn’t seem to be growing. It swims, plays and eats but is so small compared to the others and seems to only want to eat flies!!!!I can feel it’s hip bones. Any suggestions on how to put weight on? They have been eating scratch and peck starter with the extra brewers yeast added.

Hi, there, welcome to BYC.

On occasions, you will get runts in the flock (like yours), and there isn't much you can do besides ensuring the duckling is getting enough feed and water, in other words not getting bullied. Adding a poultry vitamin into the runt's diet, just in case it is by chance some type of nutritional genetic disorder may prove useful as well. I have only had one of these (long time ago), but there are a few other members on here that have some now, so they may be able to share their experience.

Off the bat, I can only think of @YodaBat , I'm sure there are others.

Ok I got this!
Hello Welcome to BYC. I am @YodaBat.
Your little one is cute. I agree with @Isaac 0
Remove her from the brood and feed her hard boiled egg. Duck eggs are best. Give her own little brood any box big enough for the time being will do. She will grow or........
I have had this happen twice now from two different broods. 1 survived and the other did not.
You can see my videos of the one who did not make it here.

Please subscribe and see my farm over the Summer here in Chile.
Happy Ducking!:wee
