TINY egg. We're talking PENNY SIZED...!!?

This happened to us once...long story short, we cracked the egg open and there was a literal mini egg (with a yolk!) inside! So we cooked it. And ate it

In the photo, there is a penny (for reference) next to a TINY EGG next to an average chicken egg.

I'm guessing it's from my new layer, but I've never had such a tiny egg. I am 100% sure this was layed by a chicken. I barely spotted it in the nest box!!

I'm assuming one of your young ladies in getting your egg making abilities in order! Nothing to worry about as the size will increase in due time as her maturing body prepares to accommodate larger eggs.

Adorable! Fairy eggs are so cute! I've never gotten one personally.

If it were me I'd blow it out and keep it.

I have gotten four fairy eggs in the past week. All the same color, so I know they are coming from the same chicken, an Easter Egg (Araucana)
