Thank you.good advice . just strange especially since weve never had such a dark or speckled before.. Thought we might have a yet to be seen visitor since we had a pr of guineas visit last summer show up for a few days then vanish again. Closest neighbors with fowl are a mile away. And werent thiers . figured someone dropped them and they wandered home again. Couldnt get near them to catch. Anyways . . ours of course are quite spoiled water .2 -"3 gallon tanks 1 inside 1 out. Heated. Free range with indoor heated coop plus a covered outdoor run to choose from. All other eggs seem great . tiny thing was an extra egg in the days count.Tiny eggs can just be a flunk some hens have sometimes. But, make sure your birds have plenty of protein and calcium in their diets. Also, water access is vital in the winter. Chickens drink A LOT in the winter months. My hens went without water for less than 24 hours once and their eggs all shrunk in size.
Pretty rare for them to have a fertilized yolk, so they won't develop and hatch.should have left it to hatch
