We found this on the ground where several of our chickens hang out. I thought it was a rock but my husband was convinced it was an egg and he was right. I believe this is what they call a "fart egg" though I hate that name.

An old farmer told me they called them "luck eggs". So much nicer, don't you think? I keep all mine, in a birds nest I found. I think they are adorable!
 
I prefer 'new egg' as it is a first as either a hen is beginning again or a young hen beginning. They are cute! I've never opened any though, must have all the same inside. I read where they would not hatch. Anyway what a fun find.
