As I was gathering eggs yesterday I saw the top of an egg partially covered in the floor bedding. I went to pick it up and there was a brown egg, fully shapped, the size of a golf ball! This is the smallest egg I have ever seen! My girls have the best food and plenty of fresh water. Once, one of my girls gave me a monster egg, now this? I usually get large or jumbo eggs from my girls, except for the 2 black colored hens. They give me medium sized, white eggs.

Am I lacking something in their diet? Vitamins and crushed shell are included in their food. Should I just not worry about this unless it happens more often?

Hey, those size eggs are called fart eggs (or wind eggs). Just a fluke. Not caused by anything lacking, they just happen from time to time.
