I have a flock of big girls, Brahmas and Orpingtons. Yesterday I got the smallest egg I have seen from a standard chicken. It is the size of a quarter. The girls have only been laying for about six months... could this of just been a hiccup? All five girls laid today, all normal size eggs. I just want to make sure it's not something to worry about

Nahh don't worry about it. You get these eggs every once in a while.

It generally doesn't mean anything is wrong with the hen. Usually they

are 'fart eggs', with-out a yolk, just whites, but I have seen them with

yolks aswell. Don't try incubating it - just a heads up
