one of our standard girls laid a really tiny egg today

(left to right) one of our sebright's eggs, one of the normal eggs from the big coop, and the puny egg we got today...

had to crack it open... was kinda surprised that it was somewhat normal... had both white and yolk inside, even if the yolk was a little funky...

my best guess is one of the younger girls (we have 6 that have just started laying this month)just hasn't quite broken in her plumbing yet

Those are commonly called "fart eggs"! I got one about the size of a quarter about a month ago. They are the cutest things! I cracked mine open and it was only the whites inside no yolk. It's the only one we've ever gotten!
