Tiny eggs?

I have 5 19 weeks olds that have just started laying (only in the nest boxes so far) and the eggs are about half the size of the store bought eggs we have! Besides that, all the eggs are normal color and texture for the breeds I have (1 BPR 4 BO). Is this normal?

New layers always lay small eggs at first. The older they get the bigger the eggs will get until they are normal size. Some breeds lay tiny eggs. But the bO will lay normal eggs with age.

The first eggs are small. ..they increase in size over several weeks. Some day you'll find yourself missing those tiny eggs (so you buy more babies and start over, lol)
