These are the first three lays from my newest Welsummer layer. First egg is on right and is a little larger than a US penny.

How old was your Welsummer when she began laying for you? I have 2 of them but have no idea at what age they begin to lay for this breed. I love the speckles they have.

Mine was about 21 weeks. That's about when all of mine started to lay.

Like HenOnAJuneBug said, about 21 weeks. She was 22 weeks when she started laying.

My Welsummers will be 23 Weeks tomorrow. Still no signs of eggs from them yet. Waiting patiently for speckled eggs.
