Tiny little creepy crawlies

i found that the best way to get wrid of them all is to varnish the interior of the coop with thick gloss/varnish. This seals the little buggers in the cracks in the wood.. it also keeps all the surfaces in the coop smooth so they havnt got anywhere to hide! mwahahahaha

I've got the same problem! Yesterday, I completely cleaned the coop. Took all the old bedding out (8 inches of pine shavings) dusted with GE, put cleaning bedding back in but I'm still seeing them crawling on my arm when I handle a bird this morning! I hate these little suckers! I'm gonna try dust bathing each bird to day but I also have 9 chicks at 8 weeks old who have a segregated part of the coop and run. Is it safe for me to dust bathe the chicks too?
Many thanks
