TINY Mystery Egg!

Alot of chicks won't eat or drink for several days. They should have all they need to survive for a couple days from the yolk. Sometimes I don't even bother putting food and water in the brooder the first day and a half if they all hatch out quickly because I know they won't touch it.

I think he really looks like a standard got crossed with a bantam. Until I seperated my bantam flock I would occasionally hatch some that are similar. Plus the smaller than normal egg would contribute to being out of proportion. He'll probably look like a normal slightly smaller than usual standard in a few weeks.

I can't wait to see a new picture.

I'd be sure to dip the beak in water tomorrow morning. I always dip every one of my chicks' beaks upon arrival (even if there are older chicks in there) & also as I move to bigger brooder, just as a precaution. JMO.

Do you have any bantam cochins? Definately has Silkie in him, but toes are not black. Plus beak not all black. Loook a little like my Silkie and Frizzle/Cochin cross(Sizzle).

Please post some more pictures! Pippin is so adorable, would like to see more!
