(living proof that some guys care about itty bitty eggs and itty bitty chicks). Pippin is doing OK after a couple of days where I was unsure if he was going to make it. He was standing directly under the brooder light and still shivering. I did see him eat and drink. I would not say that he is out of the woods yet and he does not appear to be growing....Not a good sign. I am doing all that I can though.

Redcatcher, I am sure it doesn't help when you are worried about him and we keep nagging about updates. Op's go silent when things aren't going well.I'm sorry to be one of those bothering you.

BYCERS IF there was something great to hear about Pippin, we'd be reading it here. Please give his human parent a break from pleas for pictures etc. Lets just cross our fingers and hope it all turns out. I know everything is being done that possibly can be.

No worries, I understand fully that everyone is anxious to know how he is doing. I had a few other things that came up too and could not check in on the thread as I usually do. I appreciate the interest since I had never heard of a fart egg hatching before and maybe nobody has ever tried it before?

I hatched a "runt" chick recently that also had a twisted leg/foot, and it didn't seem to be growing like it's hatchmates. Unfortunately, it died when it was about 5 days old. By that time, it was probably only about half the size of the other chicks that had hatched at the same time. I had even switched its feed to a powdered parrot formula, and had seen it eating and drinking; but it gradually got weaker and acted tired a lot. I hope your chick starts growing and grows more active than mine did.
