This is getting strange. No progress but I hear peeping. I have no pullets in my flock. In fact the youngest is three years old and the Silkies are going on six. And, yes, from what I researched too, fart eggs are not supposed to have yolks.
I just found this thread. I bet its a quail as well. I have seen it happen. It could also be another bird that decided to lay in someone elses nest, someone mentioned a cow bird. They can be dangerous to your other eggs so be sure to get it out asap if it is in fact a cow bird. I would go quail egg though, looks like a bob egg possibly. I hope he hatches I WANT TO SEE IT!!
This thread is making think about a Simpson's Episode, where Bart hatches wild bird eggs, and they hatch out lizards instead of birds. Turns out they were eggs from a lizard that eats the birds eggs, and lays it's own eggs in there spot, then when the babies hatch they eat the mother bird. LOL, I hope you don't hatch out those lizards.
Heehee. I love it!! Talk about waiting on bated breath! Hope noone is holding theirs! This is fun waiting on a chicken fart! I'm at work all night so I'm definitely on fart-watch!
