A "fart egg" is an extremely small egg from a chicken which usually lays normal size eggs. The fart egg usually has no yolk in it only white.
"Pipping" is the little hole a chick makes in the egg when it begins to hatch ~ a very exciting time when you have had you nose to the glass of an incubator watching eggs for 3 weeks! "Zipping" is when the chick enlarges the hole in a circle around the egg to complete the hatch.
Just found this thread. Boy am I glad I didn't have to wait and wait like everyone else to see if Pippen would hatch or not since I have no patience.
S/he's so cute and teeny! I really hope s/he makes it. I can't even imagine what s/he'll look like fully grown but I am uber-curious. Grow Pippen! Grow!
Sometimes I wonder about myself. I am spending a little time every day wondering about and concerned for the welfare of a tiny chick somewhere in the world that I have never met and whose owner I do not know. Sigh. I know anyone who reads this will understand.
