We have a latecomer chick who HD taken two and a half days hatching and was still trying, so we decided to intervene. In the process, we noticed these tiny worms in the egg with her. Tons of them. After she was out we found they were all over her except at the vent. Can't find any info or similar cases. We got them off and got her cleaned up but we're not sure what to do. Should we keep her from the other chicks, or is it fine since we got them off? Does she have a chance?

Was this a broody hatched egg? Those appear to be maggots. A fly may have laid eggs in the pipped egg - they grow rapidly.

Yes, our first broody hatch. I thought that too, but they're smaller than any maggots I've seen... maybe I've only seen older maggots...
