Tiny worms in poo, and a leg issue!

I got the ivermectin pour on, had to leave for tractor supply before your reply and it was cheaper, which is a big deal for me right now. I have sevin dust i used about 3 weeks ago did the whole coop and all around the coop outside. I bleached the inside of the coop too. I hope I didn't waste money. Dawg I saw you were the "go to guy" for the worm problem, is there anything wrong with the ivermectin? I saw it was used on other posts, oh crap I hope it doesn't make anyone sick

I give my chicken ivermectin (for cattle) 1 diabetic unit per pound of body weight/ there are 100 units in one cc/MM so ONE CC/MM would treat a 100 pound chicken if there was such a thing. I dose it in a piece of cantalope for the chickens, hot dogs for my dogs. Every walmart sells diabetic unit measure syringes. I do my dogs once a month, my chickens I have done once thus far. and i plan to do them every 6 months. I have never used a pour on. I also dose everyone with pyrantel pamoate monthly. I got a little sultan girl in trade and she had lice. she spent a long time in isolation, but is now happy with my WCP. I must have done a good job because no one else has lice. I also dusted the surrounding area with 7 dust and permethin.

I've read somewhere that ivermectin wont kill capillary worms in chickens. This is why I recommeded either safeguard liquid goat wormer or the valbazen. The safeguard liquid goat wormer at Jefferslivestock.com is $15.95 + $6 shipping for the 125ml bottle. You were thinking of killing the lice with the ivermectin pour on as well as the worms. Ivermectin pour on is quickly absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. It'll kill mites, but not lice. Lice dont suck blood, mites do. This is why I recommended sevin dust. How do you plan to treat the inside of their house for the lice? Sevin dust. Good luck.

Make sure you get the 5% Sevin, not the 10% or the liquid. 5% is the only one that is approved for dusting on chickens, dogs, cats, etc.

Thanks everyone, I have had a Very stressful day...

Hey there. What dose do you give your pullets of pyrantel. I've been wanting to do it for my flock and the vet told me 3ML/per chicken. I can't really remember though because that seems like a lot. What would you suggest?
