tip of hens beak curving up

I just noticed it yesterday, I am positive it is new. Just the tip of her beak is starting to curve up. What causes this?

How old is she? If it is a young bird probably genetics. If it is an older bird, perhaps lack of opportunity to scrape/wear it down.

She is a young bird. She is one of ideal hatcherys 236's. I only have 2 of them but they are both incredibly reliable layers, one egg a day from each just like clockwork. I will try to get a pic tonight, she is very flighty.
