Hello! I would LOVE to hear people share their tips and tricks for the brooding period. In the past, we've always bought pullets and plopped them right into the coop, but this year we're planning on raising 25 meat birds. Unfortunately, my husband and I both travel a LOT for work. We are going into this chicken project with neighbors, so the chicks won't be completely neglected when we're gone, but any advice on how to maximize efficiency with regards to feed, water, and brooder cleaning (I KNOW the little monsters are exceptionally good at making messes!) would be greatly appreciated.
