Hey! We have 12 chickens and 2 ducks and this is our first time owning them. We have have them since march and everything is going well, but I wonder if there is anything I should be doing for them. obviously they have food and water but I was wondering if they should have any medication or anything to help then stay healthy. Any tips would be much appreciated because we really love our chickens and want them to be okay.

No medication necessary unless you suspect an illness or you notice someone is acting off from how they normally act.
It isn't a bad idea to have a chicken first aid kit ready to go for an emergency.

Thank you so much! I feel very relieved to hear this. What do you recommend I put in an emergency kit?

If you've got the basics down -- good quality feed, plenty of clean water, adequate coop and run space, and generous ventilation -- then you don't need to worry unless you see signs of trouble.

Chickens know how to be chickens if we give them the conditions to chicken in. :)
