Tips for great FEED BAG TOTES

Some feed sacks have that issue of seperating,i think when they were made the layers r not bonded correctly.I always pre wash.I make mine to the best of my ability,i can not guarantee how long they will last, due to how they r cared for,i had one myself for over a year, then it started to seperate.

Thanks for the great reply. I guess I just got unlucky. Though I did read an advertisement for recycled feed bag totes, and it said the bags could not be washed, so ... I'm going to have to do a bit more thinking on this!

Hand wash, use shampoo or dish detg, air dry.If u r making a design that requires cutting the bag cut your design then wash the pieces, the less u turn the sacks inside out the better.I have this problem too, when ever i buy empty ones i am always told they r like new, well most of them end up as tarps under projects.good luck to u and always empty your sacks after purchase,oh and there r some sacks that only have one layer, there r better to work with, wild bird seed sacks r usually great!
