Hello all. I notice my brooding hen gets alot of flack from the rest of the gals while she is on her nest. Seems everyone wants "her" spot. Anyway, thinking of putting across a sort of screen as it gets closer to hatching time so the rest of the flock won't bother her and so the baby chicks won't just wander around the rest of the house. I was thinking some privacy for mom and chicks. Looking for some suggestions from others who have done this already. This is our FIRST hatch, about 14 days to go. Thanks!

I had the same problem. My broody was in a nest made of a cat litter box (One with a cover.) I had my DH build a pin the size 3X 5 and just picked up the whole nest and slid it in. That way I had room for the food and water for mom and chicks.

I agree a pet carrier or litter box is an excellent idea.
