Takes time and patience

When you feed her, talk to her while she eats. Pet her if she will allow it, just a few strokes at a time while she is eating. Slowly increase the petting time and eventually she might let you pick her up but set her back down quickly so she knows its temporary. Soon you will be her new best friend.

This is the technique I used on all my 5 once stray barn cats and now they are spoiled rotten, fixed & UTD on vac.
