Tips on pasty butt....please!

Just rinse their bottom in warm water and carefully remove the poop. Then apply either medicated A&D ointment or vaseline. This keeps the area from sticking. Works like a charm!

I clip the butt feathers. by hand with scissors. First i clean them up then clip close it has fixed it for me.

ok guys I bought a 150W Sylvania "Utility" bulb, it's clear has 2740 Lumens. Will this work? My DH seems to think that it will not put out heat required that it will only put out heat close to the bulb?
Is he right? Will it work till the morning when I can go to pet or feed store, or should I leave the 250W heat until then?

For heat like you are after I use ceramic "bulbs". They screw into a shop light fixture and provide alot of heat and mine have lasted YEARS.

you can find some here. I know they say reptile, but they work for the birds. Just watch touching them as they do not glow they are just hot

So I ended up putting a 60W Incandescent bulb out there and all are snuggled up sleeping but not piled on top of eachother.

I'll be watching all for a while to make sure all is well
