Tips on winterizing my duck house?

Best tips for helping my two ducks keep warm during winter? Should I put their heat lamp in their hut or is that to big of a fire Hazzard?

I would not use a heat lamp. Most birds need to get out of the wind and weather and a soft bedding to stand or sleep on. Nothing too fancy is needed. Sharing pictures of your set up may help.
