Emu eggs have arrived and go into the incubator tonight or tomorrow morning. This puts hatch around March 21st.

4 eggs shipped, 2 didn’t survive shipping.
Also naming the eggs this time.

Egg #1 is Fizzgig 645 grams
Egg #2 is Chamberlain 662 grams

:fl This will be happening the entire time.

I'm coming! Breeder scheduled an egg ship date of Monday, February 10 for 6 Lemon Pyle Brahma eggs, 3 Silver laced Wyandotte, and 3 Buff laced Wyandotte. Incubator holds 14....so might sneak 2 more in if I stumble across a seller who will do such a small order. Be back as soon as eggs are in the house :fl.

This batch was a replacement batch for the last 4 that didn’t hatch. Luckily the package was insured, so waiting for the claim check from usps and will buy a few more locally if at all possible. I think it’s gone sour all from shipping damage.

Oh no! That's so upsetting to hear! I just know it will work out eventually, you have to have your emu babies! Is there anyone local to you breeding them?

I have been looking daily. So far the closest is California. If I do get the claim refund for the damaged eggs, I’ll try them from California.

This year can only get better, right?
