I've never thought I'd cry so hard for a chicken, one of the girls that got killed was named Cuukie, she was the gentlest, sweetest chicken I ever met. I miss her more than I thought I could miss a chicken. Don't get me wrong I'm still sad about both losses but there was something just extra special about Cuukie. I would sit down in the chair outside and she would run up and jump straight into my lap and I would just pet her and it was just something that I've never had before. I've never had that sort of connection to a chicken before and it was absolutely devastating to lose. Thank you for your warm welcome though. I'm hoping I can build that bond in the future with the current chickens I have.

There is always one that really plays your heart strings. They are all special but sometimes that special bird nests in the folds of your heart and shatters it when they pass. :hugs I've been there. ❤️
