Well last night I caught this guy

I decided to challenge myself for the shot, by freehanding the rifle at my side.
I really need a dog...

Sorry the skunks are becoming problematic! Mine are great; they aerate my lawn and leave the chickens/garden alone. What will you do with him?

We have dogs, and I call them in when ones around here. I don't want to deal with it if they got sprayed. I have a box of hydrogen peroxide here just in case as we have them around, but knock on wood! We had a sick one that wouldn't leave. I had to get the 20-gauge out and done. We put him in a garbage bag, then a 2nd, then a 3rd, FOUR garbage bags and he still stunk. The garbage place told us they'd take him if we wrapped it well. Dear Lord, I don't know how many more bags we put that thing in, but they took it.

I know R2Elk has a "soil improvement program", but I'm pretty sure that's raccoons and not skunks. I have no idea what would happen if you grew produce over a skunk carcass. Wonderful things? Horrible things?

I've tried skunk fertilizer and I never saw any effect. Nothing changed in the spot. I was growing some dinosaur kale there and it was exactly the same as the rest
