I sympathize. 
It can be really frustrating trying to figure out what might have went wrong. Sometimes they just don't make it even when everything was done right. I'd say you did a really good job if 6 of 7 eggs that went into lockdown hatched. I don't think losing a couple in the first week of incubation is uncommon either.
