To be or not to be a cuckoo maran? That is the quesrion

I thought I have 2 cuckoo Marans but every picture I find they don't have feathers on their feet. They are mostly black with very light white specks. Are the cuckoo Marans or no? In the first picture are them with a barred rock to show how much more darker they are in comparison. 2nd picture is when they were younger.

I agree. The French/American SOP strains have feathered legs, while the English strain is clean legged
