i baught a dosen pure bred saxony eggs from 2 provinces over. Shipping didnt do them any favors and only 3 males hatched

That's rough. There is a group here in Oregon that has them so I may call them this spring and see what I can do. I only need one male as I'm only planning on having 5 hens, so one male and one female would be perfect to add on. Though I may also just keep an eye out for some mature ducks on Craigslist. That's how I got my two saxony's. Someone didn't realize ducks would tear up a yard if they didn't have a pen, and they ate all of their fancy ornamentals.

Oh, forgot to mention, i have a 120sqft isolation pen, so I can quarantine new ducks for a few weeks so the disease risk is low.

That's great. People need to get down on their knees every day to thank God that ducks don't have teeth. If they did, they'd be flying piranhas.
