Ivermectin should be used very carefully when dogs are involved. Some of the herding breeds should ONLY be given Ivermectin under the supervision of a vet. It can be VERY toxic to some dogs.

Speckled Hen- Why can't I use Ivermectin, its cheaper and I dont plan on eating the eggs, that's okay isn't it? Do I have to use Eprinex? I have less than 15 chickens.

Will the Eprinex also take care of lice and mites ?????

I have very limited success with trying to dust for mites. My sinuses don't like dust.

Pour on is $20 Bucks a bottle and that is what I use. The first time use wazine to kill roundworms and prevent backups. Then buy invermectin POUR ON and put 3 on for a bantam ( thats what i use fro my cochins) and 5 or maybe 6 for larger birds, bye there neck area. This way is slowly releases through the skin. Invemectin injectable or in the water isnt nearly as effective.

All these VERM X and DE work but arnt PROVEN. So you dont know whether or not it works, regarless of what it says on the package.

Worm with Wazine 17 now.
In 2 weeks do invermectin

Then EVERY 6 months with invemectin.
