To exchange or not to exchange? (Nurture Right 360 - loud whirring/humming? )

Picked up a Nurture Right 360 today at the store and the fan on it is quite loud and sends a gentle vibration all throughout the unit. Not enough to "VIBRATE" vibrate, but enough you can feel it a bit if you put your hands on the machine.

I couldn't find enough info on whether this fan noise was normal or not. Should I take it back and swap it? Has anyone else had this issue? Was your unit loud or silent? I'm worried the vibration would affect the eggs.

Basically just wondering if this noise is normal or if I should take it back. Thanks.

I've got two and both are a bit loud and have a slight vibration. Despite this I love them as I've had good hatches from both.

Oh interesting! I've seen videos where they're silent and videos with the fan noise, so I guess it must just be a roll of the dice! I might grab another one just to compare, and then return whichever one is louder.

If you do try out another to compare I'd love to hear what you find! I always thought they were just like this as both of mine have it, now I know better.

I know there have been multiple alterations/versions made so I wonder if they updated the fan in some of the newer ones to be more quiet? I got both of mine awhile ago so they are a bit of an older version.

I noticed they had updated versions too, so that's possible! I'll definitely respond here and let you know if the 2nd one is quieter! If it's not, then I guess some people just got really lucky!

Also just fyi, if you put a towel under the incubators not only does it help hold in the heat better but it helps with the vibrations too.

So the 2nd one I grabbed IS a tad quieter, but definitely not silent still. I guess some people did just get lucky with silent units.

I love how reliable my two have been, I hope you'll enjoy yours just as much despite the noisy fan!
