What foods and treats other than meal worms can I give my 4 week old chicks. I have supplied them with chick grit and they have been outside in the pen for the last week or so pecking and scratching and doing what ever it is that chicks do.

What else can I give them? I don't want to overload them on meal worms. Not that that is possible, and I want to mix it up a little.

Also what foods should I not give them? Are there any foods that are harmful to chickens?

You can give them fresh greens like spinach (mine love it), cooked rice/pasta, bread, leftover porridge, boiled potato skins, carrot tops, watermelon, apples, plain yoghurt, cheese... Just don't give them citrus, avocado or salty food.
