To insulate or not to insulate?

8x10 coop located in Ontario Canada- is insulation necessary?

In general, probably not.
Good ventilation makes insulation kind of moot,
and it can harbor rodents and pests.
Might depend on if you're in northern or southern Ontario.

I have changed the plans yes! After lots of great advice from the folks on this forum I decided that coop design just wasn’t going to be big enough for what I wanted. I’ve enlisted the help of my brother to help build a custom coop, we just finished the deck for it today, it’s 8x10 on a running gear so it’s portable. We’re located about 40 min from Toronto so we are mate central Ontario
