To many treats?

We give our flock a lot of treats. It could be more than 10% of their diet, but how could I possibly know that? I mean, they eat non-stop all day for goodness sakes.

They have laying mash available to them all day, and they always act like they are just STARVING every morning until we bring that out (we put food & water up at night, because we were getting rats! Ick!) So they eat the mash in the morning and then whenever they want, and then they free-range all day.

In the late afternoon/early evening when we are getting home from work, we give them treats, which is nice, because everyone comes when I call them & they jump up into my lap. It's nice to have time to give them extra attention. I don't care if it's weird. I like having lap chickens & I like kissing them on the head! :love

I use a tablespoon of Braggs ACV, per gallon of water about 3 times a week, sometimes less. They get garlic every so often mixed in with their feed.
