i know that with ducks you cant have to many boys but with chickens is it the same way

Oh yes! You should keep one rooster for every 1-10 hens. Otherwise they fight and the hens get too much attention.

Then you'll have to wait it out and then get rid of the extra males.

Then you have to have a plan - before you hatch - as to how you are going to deal with the extra males. Eat them or find homes for them. The reality is, it's not easy to sell extra roosters unless you have a specific breed people are looking for, or show quality birds.

If you plan to sell extra roosters, I would strongly suggest you have a market for them even before you start hatching.
