We have free range chickens. They roost in the barn at night and are currently getting fed mash from our local feed mill. We do have lime spread around our barn lot where they roam most of the time. We’ve been getting eggs with deformities pointing towards too much calcium. So what should we be feeding them?

Do you have any signs of respiratory illness in your flock right now? Or have you had respiratory disease in the past?

Not that I’ve noticed. Especially not from the geese which is what this egg is from. The chicken eggs have the calcium deposits and calcium film on them but no wrinkles or corrugated.
