To much?

I have 19 chickens total. 17 hens and 2 roosters. They go through a 50lb bag of grower a week? Is that to much food or is that about right?

My 17 birds 16 pullets and 1 roo, eat 50 pounds every 2 weeks. However they are only 13 weeks old. Laying birds should have feed at all times and eat until satisfied. Your birds will extremely rarely overeat.

Yea the get to eat freely. Not all of them are laying yet but should be any time now. Just seems like they are about to eat me out of a house lol

Good question. I'm glad to know that they rarely overeat because I wasn't sure how much they should eat also. Thanks for info.
