Hi guys, I'm new and I'm looking for some advice. I am hatching chicks for the first time, and today is day 21! Two chicks have hatched around 10 hours ago, and are squeaking and stumbling around the incubator. At the moment 5 other eggs have pipped, (there are 20 in there in total) and the two already hatched keep bumping into the eggs turning them over. One of the eggs made a rather large pip quite a few hours ago, probably around the time these two were hatching. I can see plenty of movement, lots of beak poking, but hole not really changing. Do we thing everything is ok? Another egg has pipped on the "wrong" side, so not on the fat end, but more towards the pointy end of the egg. Again pipped around 10 hours ago and since then nothing. One of the pipped eggs has been rolled over so I no longer can see the pip, and another egg has half an eggshell from one of the two hatched ones over it like a hat. So I can't really see what's happening with that one.... Another issue is, it's been around 10 hours - a little more for one chick, a little less for the other - but neither of them have dried off completely, some, but their heads and backs still appear to be damp.
What should I do? I have been told many times not to open the incubator with eggs pipped, but I'm worried about all these things.... Any advice?
