No, not true, but it might be. I would just like to share this thing to get the word around.

The number one mistake people make when buying OR building a coop is: THEY OVER CROWD THE COOP WITH CHICKENS!

Yes, it's true. It can cause feather picking and LOT'S of fighting. So, please make sure you never over crowd your coop. It can cause terrible trouble.

Could you build on this a bit more? I think it's a great topic for an article, but want more. What are your thoughts/opinions on ideal coop size for various flock sizes? What supporting evidence is there to go larger? Is small OK if they only sleep and lay in the coop? Why or why not? Does "coop" included an attached run when you discuss dimensions?
