To the Coop!!

Day 2 from the incubator! Chickens are livestock and really don't belong in the house. I have a brooder that I put 2 day old chicks in. There is a heat lamp, a little roost and feed and water. They do just fine! When they are 2 or 3 weeks old I open the doors and put a graduated wire in the opening. The chicks can go in and out, but the grown hens cannot. The chicks can go in and out as they want but the hens cannot go in and eat the chick food. My method of integration! Good Luck! :D

There's no set answer. If you can provide heat out there, they can brood in the coop from the very beginning.

If you're brooding inside, depending on temperatures they can move out once they're off heat and pretty feathered out, which can be from 4-6 weeks.
