If someone continues to buy up all of the hand sanitizer and toilet paper, then they are putting themselves at an even higher risk, by depriving others of being able to clean themselves. Think about it....walking out of your pristine environment, only to be met by throngs of filthy people who couldn't buy anything, because someone else stockpiled it. For me, it creates quite a visual....:barnie

The hoarders attempting to make a profit are facing investigations. Unfortunately, one was in my township. :smack

Stores are out of eggs and chicken. :gig WE WIN!!!!

I was letting some of my extra egg's go, but the past few day's, I started saving them just for myself. If people get crazy and start stealing my chicken's from the coop, I have my last batch of chick's that I hatched still in the house in the brooder. I'll just keep those in the house, because I'll still be able to start up 2 separate flock's, because a couple were from shipped egg's and some from my flock. This week, I'm saving the egg's to go into my incubator. ;)

I think that the people who have been canning stuff for a month or so were smart. They don't have to worry about the store shelves being empty now.

I have a one word solution to all of your TP problems. Not only is it the greatest thing since sliced bread, but cleaner, more efficient, and doesn't kill trees (btw, whatever happened to save the trees?!), and that one word is...

If you don't know, don't even think about downing on it, cause you just don't know!!!

Good idea, and everyone has one of those hair dryer's to get thing's dry again don't they?

Running out to put the padlocks back on my coops!!!!!

No stealing my merms! (Yes we call them MERMS)

I have 4 big dogs protecting my TP from anyone breaking in too. :lau There may only be one pack here but demmit it's MINE.

:gig

:hmm Seriously considering asking to borrow my neighbors rooster and get to hatching.

I was thinking about coop padlocks, but my husband might think I am more nuts than usual. We are pretty isolated out here.

I live in a very isolated area as well, but have already had inquiries about people wanting my chooks and eggs. I had to respectfully decline.

Sorry, not at this time. I have only 8 layers, and 3 dozen eggs as of this morning.

As for locks on the coop, I don't need to go there, as I have a 5 tiered security system .....

#1 - Line of sight to the only gravel road in, or out …..
#2 - A locked gate at the top of my 1/4 mile driveway …..
#3 - A three dog early warning system .....
#4 - A 5 camera surveillance setup, with intruder alarms …..
#5 - As a last resort, God forbid, a 12 bore scattergun, various handguns, and a pile of scary black ARs .....

Now, you might ask, would I shoot a hungry intruder for trying to steal a chicken ?

No, not at this point at least, but rest assured I would let a couple slip in their general direction !!!

There are a lot of crazies out there, and a desperate person can do desperate things. These are not normal times, so for my family's personal safety, extreme measures must be considered.

Keep in mind that my police response time is at least 20 to 30 minutes, and a LOT of damage can be done in way less time. Basically, I'm on my own.

Sorry if I upset anyone with my comments, but that is just how things are right now.

This was the TP aisle at my local meijer

The rest of the aisles were equally deplorable. The only flavors of frozen pizza were pepperoni, hawaiian and spicy chicken. There were no tortillas and there was no bread, hotdogs or breakfast sausage. I asked the cashiers about it and they said they have had 1000 dollar transactions and people have been pulled from registers to stock because they cant keep up. This is ridiculous. How do you not have AT LEAST 2 weeks worth of food in your house?:th
