So, I read in Storey's Guide that roosters do not tuck their heads in their wings when they sleep. I'm just wondering if this is a genetic thing or a head gear thing. I just caught my month old chick doing this, and I'm wondering if it could mean she's a girl? Have you seen your chicks tuck their heads then grow up to be roosters? And, how true is this statement from Storey's Guide anyway?
