I removed some rejected eggs from the nest. We are having problems with our hens hatching our eggs. Lots of casualties.
I have about ten eggs that when candled, have dark masses on top of clear areas on the bottom of the egg. One egg exploded. Based on what the chick looked like in the exploded egg and the candeling pics I've seen here, I think I have 17 or 18 day eggs....but I'm not sure.
Should I put them on my auto turner? Or should I put them in lock down mode?
This whole thing has been a disaster
. I'm not having high hopes for these ten eggs, but I'm not giving up yet. Would the warm water test work? would I see movement?
Thank you!!
