I just put in my Marans/mutt eggs. Set my counter top toaster for "warm" and "stay on" filled the pan w/ H2O and marked them... I need to turn them 3X a day right? is that side to side or end over end? and should I rotate them as well? (IE pointy end facing north, then south?) When will they be due to hatch? 22 days? I will keep you all updated...

Yup 3 or more times a day, but make sure its a odd number of times, 2, 5, 7 etc. Just roll them over from one side to the other, doesn't need to be end to end. What temp are you getting in the toaster oven? Since it's still air you will need 101-102, and at that temp your looking at around a 21 day hatch time.

Good Luck!

WAAAHHH!! My toaster eggs are toast LOL My husband closed the door to the toaster assuming I accidentally left it open, so between 'rotations' the door was closed for a few hours. The eggs are so hot it hurts to touch them! they're dead arn't they?

I feel so sad! Stinky husband, the one time he tries to help LOL

really? On eof the eggs rolled out and broke so I looked at it and it's a hard boiled egg, I'm guessing most of, if not all, are like that so how can a chick develop? I really think this hatch is a goner...
