You shouldn't leave quail in the bator longer than 24 hours, but 12 is better. I've often had to move wet chicks, especially if the humidity jumped real high, like it did when I used the hovabator to hatch in! That won't happen again! If they are not drying, or they are 12-24 hours old, you can move them. Just be sure there are no drafts in the room, and do it quickly. Even if other chicks are hatching. Just try to check before opening it to make sure there are no other pips.
