I waited to long to set up the broody enclosure and now that its set up, I need to move her and 3 eggs. I plan on doing this at night. I've set up the broody area to be as dark as possible in the nest box. Anything else I need to be aware of. I don't want to break her broodiness?
Her current nest box is about 18 inches off the ground and I can't remove it on its own. Its part of a large box divided into 3 nest boxes.

Moving a broody hen will sometimes cause them to leave the nest. If you do move her do it at night, and fix it so she can't leave the eggs. At day 17 I'd just wait till the chicks hatch out, and then move the whole family.
