Tomorrow, my chicks will be 4 weeks old. I took them out to explore the great outdoors today. Somehow, I was not expecting them to play in the dirt (even though I've heard plenty of times on here about chicks dust bathing as soon as they got outside). They started trying to dust bathe on hard ground. I got excited and put them in a cat carrier to bring them to Dayday's (my only adult chicken) favorite dust bathing spot. Then I hurried and got my camera. When we first got in there, my sisters EE started playing in it. The two other chicks didn't show any interest in it. Then, after she had been playing in it for a while, my RIR decded it looked fun and started to play in it too. My White Leghorn never did try it.. Maybe next time.
