If I were you, I would notify local police and give them whatever description of the truck you have. In many states, if your dog has a tag with your information on it, anybody who picks the dog up and doesn't report it can be charged with a crime. The police probably won't spend a lot of time searching for your dog, but filing the report gives you legal standing if the dognappers are found and won't give your dog back.
