What is the rock bed for? Is it covering something up? Sorry I’m new to all of this chicken keeping. My chickens are apparently missing out! Lol

thank you! Do you mean the gravel? The land is sloped and weeds grow taller than trees so under the coop is all gravel and we put it around outside for mud. Were going to lay wire on the ground and cover it with gravel to provide more predator protection all around the coop. Were new to chickens too so this is a combo coop of ideas from members here.

In your first post, the last pic shows rocks surrounded by a border with a cement (?) circle on top. I’m just wondering what it is. I’m sure it has a practical purpose.

Those are the cement supports that the wood sits on to support the coop in tne air and keep the run beams out of the ground. The coop is two feet off the ground
